Mandate: Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1995. The FPSC awards an internationally recognized designation "Certified Financial Planner" or "CFP" to financial planners who meet the FPSC's requirements. The FPSC works to benefit and protect the public by establishing uniform standards of education, experience, examination and ethics for financial planning practitioners.
